GTT Electrical grade glass textile tape
GTT is a woven glass fabric tape made of continuous E-glass fibres. The tape is treated with a seizing to avoid frying of the glass filaments and to guarantee complete saturation with all common epoxy, polyester and silicone resins.
The tapes display high electrical strength, high resistance to fire and outstanding mechanical strength also at highest temperatures. The high flexibility of the tape allows for small bending radius.
Common applications are as banding tape for transformer coil, interlayer insulation for magnet coils, fire barrier wrapping on cables and consolidation of conductor stacks in drives and generators.
