As a 3M authorised distributor for inorganic and hybrid papers and boards, these products are engineered to meet the most rigorous applications. Operating at temperatures from sub-zero to more than 250°C, these “state of the art” materials have been refined, tested and proven to meet a wide variety of applications. As a cost-effective alternative to meta-aramid papers such as Nomex®, they can offer in many respects’ advantageous technical properties.

PET films, PC films and sheets along with PP films and sheets are manufactured in-house, often using our own polyester chips. This is also complemented by IDI Fabrication EMT being an authorized distributor for Dupont Teijin Films® and Mitubishi Polyester Films®. Our range also covers PEN and PI films.

Manufacturing laminates between 0,05mm and up to 1,5mm thick with widths ranging between 6mm up to 1840mm and normally applied as a standard 2-ply and 3 ply laminate. We can also offer on request 4-ply and 5-ply options. The most common types provided are DM, DMD, AP, APA, TF and TFT in which “D” refers to PET-fleece, "A" refers to aramid paper based on meta-aramid fibres, “M/F/P” refer to Pet-film and “T” to Tufquin®, a hybrid inorganic insulation paper supplied by 3M.

We manufacture in-house adhesive tapes based upon PET, PI, glass cloth and Nomex®. These tapes are available with a silicon or acrylic adhesive system. As an authorised 3M distributor, we can also offer the full range of 3M electrical and industrial adhesive tapes. All tapes are offered in slit widths or full log rolls.

We produce coated products and prepregs by applying either an epoxy, polyester resin or silicone coatings on base materials such as films, papers, fabrics, woven grids and flexible laminates. Products are supplied in B-Stage if coated with epoxy or polyester resins. In these instances, the material is usually shaped by the user and cured by applying pressure and heat.

Heat shrinkable tapes and tubes are used to apply compressive force to the underlying part. Base materials are usually PET, PTFE or PI with a shrink percentage ranging from 5% to 20%. Such tapes and tubes are used for carbon fibre tubes, electrical coils and rubber hoses or in cylinder manufacturing.

A perfect example of our “All Under One Roof” strategy. We have the manufacturing capability and expertise to work with our customers to produce mold tools and from these, molded components to meet customer drawing specification and standards. Molded parts can be produced from BMC, SMC or prepreg materials with molds manufactured from base materials to suit the required application.

Processes include vacuum molding, autoclave molding, vacuum infusion, wet layup, spray layup and injection molding. The nature of these process capabilities requires us to produce parts “make to order” to meet your specific requirements and the quality you and your customers demand. Yet again our “All Under One Roof” philosophy is aimed at helping the decision making process and to offer the most cost effective solution for our customers.

Specific to your needs, we offer convolute or filament wound tubes and rings that we supply to you “make to order”. Outside diameter ranges are from a few mm up to 3500mm with wall thicknesses going up to as much as 455mm and lengths going up to 8000mm. This means we can meet most of your requirements with this capability. Tubes and rings can be applied to many applications but are commonly used in the electro-mechanical field in such areas including industrial motors, generators and transformers as well as the oil and gas industry.

Resins are used for encapsulation, filling and impregnation.
Varnishes are specially developed for impregnation, protection, insulation and finishings.

We produce flame retardant and specialist grade polyester chips. The chips are used “in-house” for our own production of FR PET film and is also offered to yarn and fabric manufacturers. Our FR PET Chips have a phosphorus content ranging from 4500 ppm to 44000 ppm which is based on a modified molecular structure that links the phosphorus elements.
